Dr. Terezakis served as chairman of the cosmetic symposium for both the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology. She also has been a visiting guest professor for the national dermatology meeting in Australia and at several universities in the United States including Stanford University, Yale, Mayo Clinic, Colombia University, University of Miami, and University of California School of Medicine, to name a few. Her research findings with retinoids have been cited in such well-respected publications as the New York Times, Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, Washington Post, Vogue, Elle, Self, Cosmopolitan, Red Book, Robb Report, etc. Dr. Terezakis has also been interviewed on The Today Show, Good Morning America and numerous other regional television programs. She is a diplomat in the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.

Since art has always been Dr. Terezakis' passion, (she majored in art as an undergraduate and still holds a license as an interior designer) she has maintained an active role in the arts. Through her work with several nonprofit agencies, Dr. Terezakis feels compelled to provide an enriching experience for children through the creative arts.

With almost 30 years experience as a private practice Dermatologist in New Orleans, Dr. Terezakis has always found the time to teach at both Tulane and Louisiana State University medical schools where she holds clinical faculty appointments. She has also been active nationally and internationally as a lecturer on clinical, surgical and cosmetic issues. Her publications include textbook chapters, original articles in respected journals as well as original research with topical retinoids for photo aged skin and for hair growth.
